Introduction
Joseline Hernandez is a Puerto Rican-American reality television personality, rapper, and actress with an estimated net worth of $300 Thousand.
She is best known as one of the prominent cast members of the VH1 reality series Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta.
Early Life
Joseline Hernandez was born on the 3rd of November, 1986, in Ponce, Puerto Rico.
She grew up in the public housing system of Puerto Rico. Her biological father died from a heroin overdose. Her youngest brother has autism and requires special care. From the age of 16, she began stripping to provide for her family.
Career Overview
In 2007, she filmed a TV pilot for Showtime revolving around the Dimond Cabaret in Miami, but the show never got greenlit. After that, Hernandez flew under the radar for a few years before finally getting her big break in 2012.
In 2012, Joseline Hernandez was discovered by the Grammy-winning producer Stevie J while performing at the Onyx Club in Atlanta, Georgia. Shortly after, she became a regular cast member of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta alongside Stevie J as an aspiring rapper, singer, and actress.
Her love triangle with Stevie and his girlfriend, Mimi Faust, became a leading storyline on the show and earned Hernandez a permanent spot. Thanks to cast members like Rasheeda and Hernandez, Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta quickly became the highest-rated show in the franchise.
A Successful Musician
After appearing on Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, Joseline Hernandez’s notoriety skyrocketed, which opened up many opportunities for the artist. As a prominent figure, she appeared at the 2013 AVN Awards, the BET Hip Hop Awards, and the BET Awards. She also appeared as a guest on The Wendy Williams Show, Hip Hop Squares, This Is Hot 97, and Michelle: My Life.
Additionally, she had cameos in several music videos, including Trey Songz’s “Hail Mary” and The Game’s “I Remember.” While on Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, Hernandez released a series of dancehall and reggaeton-inspired songs, many sang in her native Spanish.
Making A Name For Herself
In 2016, Joseline Hernandez announced she would star in the TV series Star, and shortly after had a guest co-host role on The Real. The following year, she left Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta after the season six reunion due to tensions between the creator and the show’s producers.
After leaving, she released the diss record “Run Me My Money,” which was allegedly aimed at Love & Hip Hop’s creator, Mona Scott-Young. She continued releasing music in 2017, including “Hate Me Now,” another diss track, this time reportedly aimed at Cardi B, though it was never confirmed.
In 2018, Hernandez confirmed that she was filming a new reality show, Joseline Takes Miami, produced by Carlos King.
Keeping Up The Momentum
Joseline Hernandez appeared as a commentator on the show Bossip on WE TV, from August until October via a satellite link. While she was working on getting Joseline Takes Miami simultaneously, it ultimately was stalled with the network requesting reshoots. Although the show never made it on the air, in 2019 she appeared as a guest star on Bravo’s Married to Medicine.
The same year, she signed a deal with Zeus Network, a streaming service to create, produce, and star in her reality series. Her first show, Joseline’s Cabaret: Miami, debuted in January 2020, and it wrapped up its fourth season in November 2023.
Shortly after starting her first show, WE TV announced that Hernandez and her boyfriend, Ballistic Beats, would appear in Marriage Boot Camp: Hop Hop Edition.
Child Support Payments
In 2018, Hernandez finally settled her child support case with her ex-partner and father of her daughter, Stevie J.
The couple had been fighting over their daughter’s custody, Bonnie Bella, and it was reported that Stevie had agreed to pay Hernandez approximately $1,000 a month in child support, even though, at the time, both Stevie and Joseline reportedly earned $30,000 a month each.
According to sources, the settlement’s outcome allowed the couple to receive joint physical custody of their daughter, with Hernandez also receiving primary custody.
However, in early 2019, Hernandez was almost arrested as she failed to stick to the original custody agreement, stopping her daughter from seeing her father. Because of her actions, Stevie J was reportedly awarded sole physical custody of their daughter in 2020.
Hernandez quickly denied these claims, describing them as fake news, but sources suggest that it was true and that court documents revealed that Stevie J is their daughter’s primary carer and no longer had to pay $1,000 in child support to Hernandez with each parent now fully responsible for the daughter while she is in their care.
As of 2024, recent reports suggest that the exes have agreed on how best to share their time with their daughter and remain amicable.
$25 Million Lawsuit
Hernandez was handed a $25 million lawsuit in April 2022 from cast member Amber Ali and four dancers of Joseline’s Cabaret, claiming Hernandez and her boyfriend, Ballistic Beats, reportedly jumped them backstage at the season two reunion special.
The lawsuit also claims that the security during the event failed to stop the assault and let it continue in favor of Hernandez. Therefore, Zeus Network, responsible for Joselines Cabaret, was also included in the lawsuit.
However, in an unexpected turn of events, Amber Ali withdrew from the lawsuit only a month later, in May 2022, stating that after careful consideration and thought, she would no longer pursue legal action against Hernandez, Ballistic, or the Zeus Network, and was choosing to put the whole ordeal behind her.
The $25 million lawsuit was officially called off, and no further legal action has been taken.
Estimated Net Worth
Joseline Hernandez’s net worth is $300 Thousand.
Real Estate
In 2019, Hernandez began renting an apartment for $2,375 per month at the Sunny Isles Beach units in Florida. The landlord later sued her for failing to pay rent for the month of June, calling for Hernandez to pay the missing $2,375 and to be evicted from the unit. According to reports, the lawsuit was eventually dropped by the landlord.
